It’s Not Okay to Be a Cannibal

Category : Alcohol Rehabilitation

Product Description
Two of today’s top addiction consultants guide families devastated by a loved one’s addiction. As countless families can attest, addiction is a disease that destroys families, not just individuals. Secrecy, depression, anger, and confusion are hallmark traits of addicted families. Addiction wrecks the family’s home life, consumes the family’s financial resources, and depletes the family’s emotional reserves. Now, having helped thousands of families confront addiction, two of the nation’s leading interventionists, Robert Poznanovich and Andrew T. Wainwright, have created a survival guide for families. With compelling case histories and real-life scenarios, the authors set forth a practical course of action for families to break free from the grip of addiction, a process that culminates with an intervention for the addict. The process liberates and forever changes the family. Even if the addict refuses treatment, truth about addiction has been spoken during the intervention and the family is free to move ahead with or without the addict.

What’s This Business About Everyone And His Dog Going Into Rehab? Don’t You Think It’s A Few Too Many?

Category : Drug Rehab Clinic

Britney Spears, Keith Urban, Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate Olsen, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers! The list just goes on and on! It is hard to keep up with it.
Why are so many celebrities going into alcohol and drug rehab around the same time? Is having all these celebrities check themselves into clinics supposed to make it look cool or something? It almost looks fishy. Could it be a kind of ploy designed to get other people to needlessly turn themsleves into rehabilitation treatment and get tortured?
Alcohol and drug rehabilitation, in reality, is not a picnic. Rehab clinics are a type of hospital. The recidivism rates are high. Heroin addicts get put on methadone, another dangerous drug. Why do these celebrities get so much publicity when they turn thenselves into these clinics? Nothing is cool about it. Does the news coverage serve a good purpose?
I am wondering, that’s all.
