How Will I Find A Low-cost Alcohol Rehab In Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey?

Category : Alcohol Rehab

My best friend is a self-confessed alcohol dependent for over two years now. He really wants to change for the better and we both agreed that he should enter a rehab center. The catch is that he doesn’t have the money and so do I. Does anyone know of an affordable one?

Define ‘affordable’, I doubt there will be any that fall into your range as ‘rehab’ is an optional treatment, not a required thing. Not trying to sound harsh as we all screw up but, people that get addicted to whatever substance, made the CHOICE to start it knowing that the possibility of addiction exists. Therefore rehab is not something ‘medically necessary’, thus the reason many insurances do not cover it, and rightly so in my opinion.
Many people have the mistaken idea that they can just check into rehab and all their problems will go away, no more cravings, no more stress, ect ect, just take some pill and follow some diet and no more addiction. When you get back into real life around those same things/people/circumstances that fed the addiction, they won’t affect you anymore. Well, life don’t work that way. (think Lindsy Lohan :P )
There are TONS of AA groups, he needs to find one and go. If you really want to support him go with him and help him out in the day to day stuff.

Contact your local hospital and ask them for a Social Worker.
Your friend may have to go in and explain this to a physician who can make the referral for a social worker.
A social worker will know your friend’s available options and will know which facilities have openings for new patients.

Not funny response # 1. Try his family, I am sure if he’s bad, they would be more than willing to help. It cost my parents 30, 000 to dry my brother out… Good Luck w/ that. Might try AA too – local meetings EVERYDAY!!! And they are free, but they mean business. Look em up on the web for your local meetings. You can go too and be supportive.

try clinilabs they have research study programs that offer those things in your area. also look into hospitals. i know that columbia university has programs like that but thats in manhatten. hospitals in your area call information and ask them about it. good luck

Sure, it’s called jail.

Good news! I actually found a site where you can find information on how your friend avail of a government grant to enter a rehab center. Just visit the first link that I provided. The second link will help you find drug rehab centers. Drop by one near your place and inquire if they offer discounts. I hope that your friend gets treated ASAP.

My mother runs a Mother’s Against Meth-Amphetamine chapter here in the Atlanta, GA metro…
so I don’t know ALOT but I know a little.
Its a plus on your side that he’s a male. It’s harder to find treatment for adult females… here atleast.
And yes it is very difficult to find a rehab. They like to keep “low.”
I suggest you try and find an organization that directs people to rehabs and gives you options, rather than just calling rehab after rehab.
It’s gonna be hard finding one but well worth it.
If he has insurance it will be much better… if not. You might be able to find a rehab that can put him on a financial plan.
Just sharing a little info.
I know not much but I hope it helps
